Rhys’ Film Newborn Session

Sweet little Rhys. What a perfect addition to this family. I had the honor of photographing the morning he came into the world (see his New Years Eve birth story HERE) and was so excited to see him again at his film newborn session.

Big sister, Riley, was so proud to show me his room (and hers), hold her baby brother, and smother him with kisses. I remember thinking how sweet it was and not fully understanding why Jordan and Fred were so nervous. Now that I’m in their position, I totally get the panic that sets in when your older child wants to smother your baby. It’s sweet and terrifying all at the same time.

Even with the big sister smothering, Rhys was a perfect angel and rocked his newborn session. I love the simplicity of these images and the pure joy on this family’s faces. Hoffman family, I’m honored to know you and so happy I got to document this sweet season of life.
