Tanglewood Park Session

Three year olds are wild and crazy and hilarious and so fun to photograph! Little Harrison was no exception!

I met the Kim family at Tanglewood Park for their family session back in December. They told me they’d love to get a “smiling, family portrait,” but mostly they just wanted candid images of their boy playing. This made my heart so happy! Often times when families have expectations of their children smiling for the camera and standing still for the entire session, they’re setting themselves up for failure. These little ones are not exactly known for sitting still and really it’s just best when we embrace that. So we let Harrison run and play and just be his three year old self. And, honestly, these are the moments that will be treasure for years to come.

Yes, a sweet, happy, smiling family photo is wonderful! But I’ll take all the tickles and stick forts and silliness every day of the week!
