Branding Every Aspect of your Client Experience

Branding is one of my favorite parts of running a business! Last year, I made the decision to rebrand as I was transitioning into shooting mostly births and shooting in film. I hired the AMAZING Three Fifteen Design and have been so happy with that decision ever since. It was certainly an investment, but one that is worth it’s weight in gold! I’ve had so many compliments on my website and branding since then. Not to mention I am confident in sending my website link to anyone because I know it accurately represents me, my brand, and my work.

BUT your brand doesn’t stop with your website or business cards. It isn’t just a logo or pretty stationery. You may have heard this before, but branding should seep into every aspect of your business and client experience. It should be obvious to your clients when they see something that is part of your brand and it should invoke certain feelings (preferably good ones). Taking branding into account with each aspect of your client experience is so important!

So when I recently (re: FINALLY) ran out of my USB drives with my old branding on them, I was so excited to order new ones that better fit my client experience. I found USB Memory Direct at the perfect time! Not only do they offer beautiful wooden promotional flash drives (perfect for MY brand) at wholesale prices, they also offer custom branding. They placed my logo on each of the flash drives and I’m so confident in sending these out to clients!

From the time my client inquires and sees my branded email signature to the time they receive their USB or printed products, I strive to make my brand represent me well. This will set you apart. This will justify your prices. Your clients will show their friends and people will take notice. Never underestimate a well thought out brand! It doesn’t have to be expensive or flashy – just a true representation of the heart behind your business.

  1. Love this post Lauren and your great tips! Can I ask about the thank you card you include? Is that a photo of your family? Do you write a handwritten note on the back? Everything looks great but I especially love the card!

    • Lauren Jolly says:

Hey Amelia! The “thank you” cards were also designed by Three Fifteen Design and that is a photo of my family (I need an updated one but that’s a different story!). The back has a generic thank you note with a request for my clients to tag me in photos and use my hashtags. BUT I always, always include a handwritten note in every package I send to a client – I’ve gotten such great feedback on that and I love having that little personalized touch. Thanks for reading the blog!

  2. Such an absolutely beautiful branding experience! I love your color palette and style. Thank you for sharing!
