First of all, I adore lifestyle newborn photography sessions because of the way they capture this fleeting time so perfectly! Sweet August James was born on April 30th to two of the most thoughtful and sweet parents I’ve ever met. I loved seeing their excitement back in February when I photographed their maternity session and seeing them again, now that their little boy is here made me so happy! Being able to meet a new life when they are only one week old is so incredible. I love my job! It’s such an honor to get to document those first moments in a family’s life together! August was wide-eyed for most of our session and just loved being in momma and daddy’s arms.

I absolutely love seeing other people’s nurseries and how they infuse their personalities into these sweet little rooms. August’s room was especially adorable and so perfect for a little boy. Furthermore, the light was beautiful for this sweet in home lifestyle newborn photography session with momma, daddy, and baby boy.

I loved how naturally this whole session flowed, like little Auggie had been here forever. As I watched Reagan and Jeremy hold him and talk to him and smile at him, it seemed like they were old pros at this whole parenting thing. I think my favorite part about lifestyle newborn photography sessions is that none of it feels posed or staged. While I did place them in certain areas of their home that had good light or I may have moved a hand or two, my goal is to capture a family, home, and new life just as it is. Dear Reynolds Family, you are beautiful and I’m so happy for you. This adventure will be unlike any other!
