Happy February, everyone! I don’t know about you, but this year has been a whirlwind already! I think having an 8 month old helps with that :) So far, 2016 has been very different than what I expected. Some of the goals I set for myself didn’t pan out how I thought they would but I’m ready to start another month and set some new goals! January was a month of milestones for Mr. Finn and some surprises for Vaughan and me. But, February is here and it’s time to look forward to a new month. Here are my February goals:
-Send out the first installment of the LJP Newsletter (sign up in the sidebar!)
-Continue to read through the Bible in one year.
-Donate the clothes that I’ve decided I no longer want/need.
-Shoot one roll of film per session.
-Read “His Needs Her Needs” as part of Nancy Ray‘s book club (to join, find more info HERE)
-Work through the first half of Financial Peace University and stick to our new budget.
-Cook at home at least 3 times per week.
These goals aren’t all new and they aren’t huge. But they’re meaningful and exciting to me. I’m realizing that setting too many goals does just as much of a disservice as not setting enough goals. I want to continue to dream big, but I don’t want to overwhelm myself or my schedule. And, because February is the month of love, here’s a photo of my favorite wedding rings ever – mine & Vaughan’s!
I’m so happy to announce that I completed most of my January goals. Here are the goals I set for myself at the beginning of the year:
– Create an outline for newsletter content.
– Decide on a web designer and book a launch date. – SO excited!!!
– Reach out to back-up photographers/babysitters for photographing births.
– Start researching for a family trip. – I didn’t get around to planning this yet, but I’m hoping to start soon! Yay!
– Start my Bible reading plan TODAY!
– Read “How to Win Friends and Influence People“ as part of Nancy Ray‘s book club (To join, find more info HERE)
– Complete the Whole30 program. – I’m sad to say I didn’t last 30 days. I lasted 10 days. I definitely plan to try again later this year, but it was just a bit much as a work-from-home-momma with a nursing baby.
– Find new recipes that excite me and cook twice a week.
– Start teaching Finn sign language (3 words to focus on – “more” “thank you” and “please”)
– Pare down my wardrobe and donate/sell clothes I don’t wear anymore.
– Shoot one roll of film per session. – I had the month off from shooting, but I do plan to shoot film during my February sessions and can’t wait!

Happy Wednesday, everyone!
