I don’t quite know where to start with this post. Kim got in touch with me to ask about photographing her sweet family after they adopted their baby in April. They live in Ohio, but drove down to Chapel Hill meet their sweet Caleb the day before Easter Sunday.
Kim and I discussed trying to coordinate having the birth documented (or at least them meeting their baby), but the timing didn’t quite work out. So instead, I met them at the hospital the next day for a Fresh48 session. Kim told me how they’d packed up and left Ohio as soon as they got the news that baby was coming and they arrived in time for her to see her son being born. What a special moment!
About a week later, we met for their family session at Merritt’s Pasture and these images are the result. The light was perfect, the weather was gorgeous and we had a great time.
Dear Barnes Family, I’m so honored to have documented this time in your life. I can’t put into words how happy I am for your new family of four and I hope this isn’t the last time I’ll see you!
